Hi there!
It's nice of you to stop by.
I have loved writing and photography for as long as I can remember. As a teen, I took as many digital marketing and photography classes as I could while maintaining a personal blog. Eventually, I saved up enough money to buy a Kodak EasyShare at my local Walmart and took that camera with me everywhere I went. I taught myself to edit with whatever free tools I could find online, and eventually started writing for a blog and shooting more professionally beginning in my early 20s. My career thereafter includes a blend of intuitive communication and content creation, brand management, public relations and working for mission-driven nonprofits. The throughline in each of these has always been my care and hope in and for humanity.
The intent of this space is to share both my professional creative work and process, as a self expression & presence practice. You'll find that one of my favorite ways to use my tools is to capture you -- whether that is a portrait or a brand, I really just want to help you feel seen.
I'll be your mirror. I hope you find yourself somewhere in here. Enjoy!
With love,
Alex
Professional work
Working for mission-driven organizations and collaborating with clients in various industries has been a very meaningful part of my career. From healthcare and end of life care to disability advocacy, I’ve had the privilege of capturing and sharing stories from my POV that I hope always center humanity and connection. I believe there is something to learn from everyone. It is also important to me to support local makers, artists, and businesses whenever possible.
I have utilized Squarespace, WordPress, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Publisher, Neon CRM, Salsa Labs CRM, and EveryAction CRM in my work. I am experienced in event production and assistance and am certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and CPR for adults and children by the American Red Cross. Please see the project tab for more information.
